Liberia has the last remaining closed-canopy tropical rainforest in the region.

In recent years, annual timber revenues exceeded 100 million in revenues with the majority of exports going to China and Europe.

First Clearing LTD of Liberia is currently working with international forestry experts to form  a proposed Liberia Forest Management Agency for the government of Liberia. This proposal will include:

• Suggested guidelines for select harvesting of mature timber.
• Replanting and reforestation.

As a holder of Liberian timber concessions, First Clearing LTD of Liberia will continue to work closely with the Liberian Government and officials to ensure the future of the Liberian rainforest and Liberia timber industry for generations to come.
